My beautiful Zephii in her new form, I’m in love!

Zephii & her husband, Brink, have been shelled into SD-size based off of their FFXIV selves! Zephii was loosely based on her in-game self as I allowed myself to have a tiny bit more freedom with her design. I’m not a fan of the markings on her face other than the stars, so I decided to leave those off. She also did not have much make-up on in-game, so I was able to decide what kind of faceup I wanted for her!

I’m currently waiting for Brink’s wig/eyes as well as Zephii’s heterochromia eyes to come in before I take more pictures of them! I can’t wait to show you all!

Here’s a couple more photos as well as a glimpse of Brink! Please ignore his hideous fur wig, he’s waiting on a custom one from Frappzilla!

Other than eyes/wigs, I’m waiting on a few body parts to arrive, which should come in some time later today!

Brink’s arms were sent away for some tattoo work, seeing as he is also a keeper of the moon, I went with two moon-themed tattoos:

Zephii is missing her hands (5 pairs) & feet! They are painted a royal dark blue with the ring fingers being galaxy-themed!

Zephii’s Arrival

My little whirlwind muse has arrived! Which is crazy-fast!!! I purchased her on a 4-month layaway on April 2nd, thinking I had about a 4-month wait anyway, so I’d take my time paying her off. Well, I paid a lot of her off already since I sold a bunch of Minifees and owed only $211 left when DDE emails me and says that she ARRIVED!

Of course I’m going to pay her off and have her home asap! So she arrived at my doorstep, I haven’t felt so inspired by BJDs in so long, having Brink & Zephii in this SD-size is SO refreshing, I’m embracing every moment of it!

Zephii’s head was only here yesterday, both her and Brink’s heads have been shipped off to AngelToast! Brink’s default faceup was old and fading, plus I wanted him to look more like his Miq’ote self anyway, so I don’t feel too bad about getting the face wiped! Zephii came blank, so that’s a no-brainer there!

Anyway, onwards to the pictures!

 

Their heads have flown away already, I miss them!

Brink Knightley

My big Brink arrived last week and I am completely SMITTEN with him!! His size is actually great, I was afraid he would be too big!

Sadly, this big boy is already in pieces! His right lower arm and left upper arm have been sent off for some tattoo work! His head will be shipped off soon for a new faceup, he will start to look like my Miq’ote boy from FFXIV! 🙂

Also (as you have read), I did end up ordering his wife, Zephii, as well! She is a Fairyland FM60 Ria! Fairyland released an announcement that their orders are going to be shipped out lightning fast, so she may be here sooner than later! I’m fine with either, however, lmao! I have some clothes for Zephii and her wig is ordered, but no eyes and can’t snag a faceup slot for her just yet since she’s not in-hand!

I’m Sorry

Not sure how many actually read this blog, but I’m sorry in advance.

After months and months of having a block on my story, I’ve decided that I will not finish it. My dolls/characters have been very uninspiring, thus I felt the need for something new, a spark, if you will!

And then, there it was. I switched my Final Fantasy (FFXIV) character from Kimochi Knighton to Brink Knightley and play as a male Miq’ote now and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Playing as Brink has inspired me to bring him home (again?) as a SD-sized doll, a Soom Chalco [Soulmate]! The biggest doll I’ve ever owned was a Dream of Doll DoT Calla and she was 58cm! This Big Brink (as I affectionately call him) is 65cm, I’m slightly terrified and a bit intimidated by just the idea of him!

But I’m doing it, I needed this change. My Minifee’s had become so dull to me, their story was no longer my focus. As much as I love my Minifee’s and their character/backstory, I needed something more refreshing! So far, Bambi, Pommie, and Chrom have new owners. I plan on listing up Rayleigh in the near future. I’m not sure if I will be keeping my Pukifee, Nem, she might be listed as well along with one or two Zuzu Delfs.

Anyway, with Brink pretty much on his way here, there’s no way I could have Brink and not have Zephii right? They are my OTP, are they not? So plans to bring Zephii home also had to be put in motion, there’s no way I could have one and not the other, these two OCs have become so much a part of me as well as each other. So I ordered Big Zephii yesterday! Choosing her sculpt was easy, I had been pining for a Minifee Ria ever since her release and then they released her in SD (Moe) size, it was kismet! There are so many SD girl outfits I have drooled over the past few years and now I will finally have a SD girl to get them for! I’m pretty excited for that.

On top of resparking my love for BJDs, my own mother is also excited that I am getting SD-sized dolls again! She had never really been fond of my Minifee’s & smaller dolls, but she had always loved my Calla back then, she actually sewed so many dresses for that Calla! I didn’t think I would ever get a SD again, so I gave all my mother’s creations away, sadly. I wish I had kept them!!

Anyway, here’s some screenie-spam of my catboi who has been inspiring me so much, as well as my retainer-Zephii!

Sooooo, rest in peace ‘Waiting to Fall’! It was fun while it lasted, but all good things have to end, right? I can’t wait for this new journey of BJDs to arrive!

Hiatus

Hio to those who actually follow this blog, I wanted to announce that I will be going on a hiatus until Euphorie comes home, probably.

My reasoning is because I’m suffering from heartache. My precious Corgi, Kairi, was diagnosed with hermangiosarcoma on Thursday, when I took her in for some bloating, which I thought initially was just inflamed intestines. The vet gave me the option for surgery, but stated that if the tumors had spread (which it most likely had because of how aggressive the tumor is) then it would be best to not wake her up. My girl would have been 14 years old on the 30th this month, I didn’t want to put her elderly body through a surgery that had a high chance of not succeeding just so I could have her a bit longer. One of the cysts on the tumor (located on her spleen) had ruptured and it was causing her to bleed internally. I was not prepared to say goodbye on Thursday, but my old girl was suffering.

My heart has a gaping hole and my eyes are swollen from crying, but she is no longer in pain and running free again (she had also lost use of her hind legs and was extremely miserable). I miss her so much and I hope she knew how much I loved her.

Rest in Peace, my princess of heart.

Euphorie

Not sure if everyone has heard of a creature called an enfield, but that’s what my newest artdoll will be!

Her name is Euphorie and she is Rayleigh’s valiant mount.

“The enfield is a fictitious creature sometimes used in heraldry. The enfield has the head of a fox, forelegs like an eagle’s talons, the chest of a greyhound, the body of a lion, and the hindquarters and tail of a wolf.”

There are many depictions of the enfield, I’ve gone with the fox head, eagle talons, wolf hindquarters/tail as well as making mine a winged enfield. Euphorie will be a taupe color with hawk-like wings with pink markings because even though Rayleigh is as manly as he could be, he still has pink hair (which he’s very proud/fond of)!

Euphorie is being made by Creatures of Nat as we speak, I can’t wait to show you guys!! Also, her name was actually supposed to be Euporie, but I misspelled when I added an H, but now it’s stuck lol.

Blah-ness

Once again, I’m very sorry for the quietness, I’ve been feeling very distant with my dolls lately and the inspiration for them is at an all-time low. I think one factor is because I’m not exactly happy with everything that is going on in my life right now, I won’t go into detail on that since this is supposed to be my BJD safe-zone!

Anyway, I will be putting up Dream for sale over the weekend. She is a Luts Zuzu Delf Bichon – The Queen, which Bichon is my grail but not particularly the Queen version, I fell in love with Bichon as Iron Fan and I think that’s why I can’t seem to get Dream to work. But nonetheless, since I also rehomed Katarina (Elf Rin), I didn’t need a Zuzu Delf as well (I had given Wish, Katarina’s spirit beast to Amberly, but Amberly doesn’t really need a spirit beast since she’s half-phoenix).

I hope Bichon sells quickly, I’ll most likely use the funds to buy Minifee Ria who will be Kimochi, my wolf-girl!

Tiny little update from me, I hope things will get better soon, but for now, I’m in a depressive slump that I seem to be drowning in. :/

In other news, my beloved griffin arrived home last week! He’s so well-made, I’m happy I went ahead and got this version of Hyperion because he is absolutely PERFECT!

Vacation

Sorry for the random hiatus again! I seem to only update this while I’m at work! I was on vacation from Thanksgiving day until this past Monday and boy am I well-rested!

I work again Monday-Thursday then will be off from Friday plus another week, yay! I binge-watched on Netflix my entire vacation, lol (Finished The Flash (season 3), Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, & The Punisher)… Should have squeezed in some sewing for my dolls, but I felt SO lazy! But hopefully this vacation will allow more sewing time as well as time for dolls! (I bought a pattern from Etsy for MNF lingerie!!)

I’ll be getting new wigs for Zephii, Bambi, & Pommie soonish, working on the funds right now! They’ll be very similar to the synthetic wigs they have now, except for Pommie maybe… 😉

Also! I have rehomed my OOAK griffin that I made myself a couple years back! I gave him to one of my greatest local friends, I know he will be loved there! I also sold Katarina, my Elf Rin, to a special friend who viewed her as a grail~ She was shipped off yesterday! And with GREAT NEWS, I used Katarina’s funds to buy myself a Christmas gift! A custom griffin from Creatures of Nat!! He should be shipping off shortly, but gosh, he’s so beautiful and AMAZING!! I truly love her work! These photos below belong to Nat since he won’t be here for a few weeks!
